Dermal fillers are one of the most effective ways to restore volume and achieve a naturally refreshed look. At Cope Cosmetic Dermatology, we offer the latest filler technologies for your needs.

What are RHA Fillers?

As you age, your skin tends to lose valuable collagen and become less efficient at replacing it, leading to sagging and areas of hollowness. The RHA® collection of fillers is made with hyaluronic acid, a complex sugar naturally found in your skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be injected into the skin to replace lost collagen and provide youthful volume. The result is a smoother, more refreshed look without surgery or downtime.

RHA 2

RHA 2 is the thinnest formulation and is best for surface-level concerns. It’s an effective way to plump your natural lips without an overfilled look and to fill in fine lines around the mouth and midface.

RHA 3

RHA 3 is a medium consistency formula for areas that need better support and lift. It’s best for deeper lines and folds like nasolabial lines, jowls, and lip corners.

RHA 4

RHA 4 is a thicker gel best for deep structural treatment in areas like the cheeks or jowls. It can also be used to contour the face in areas like the cheeks and jawline.

What Are the Benefits of RHA Fillers?

There are a variety of RHA formulas, each created with unique properties. RHA fillers are very versatile and can be used to help erase aging signs and enhance your natural features. Additionally, RHA fillers are some of the most long-lasting options available and even contain lidocaine (a numbing agent) for a more comfortable injection.

What Can I Expect From RHA Filler Treatment?

RHA fillers require only a 15-minute injection session. To begin, you’ll meet with our team of experienced injectors who can help you select the right formulas and treatment approach for your goals. Then, your treatment area will be cleansed and sterilized for injection. RHA fillers can be placed using a very fine needle or a blunt-tipped cannula depending on your treatment areas. You’ll see immediate improvement and can adjust your results as needed before leaving. Once complete, you can return to your normal schedule.

RHA Filler Maintenance

As with other fillers, it’s normal to experience some redness and sensitivity after treatment. It’s important to avoid exercise and hot environments like showers or saunas, as well as massaging or touching the treatment area. You can avoid bruising by forgoing blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen before and after your treatment session.

It can take about two weeks for the filler to settle in. At this time, you can return for more filler or to adjust your results. RHA fillers can last 6-9 months and our team will ensure you know when to return for your next touch-up appointment.
